Macroeconomics

How do key macroeconomic variables evolve, what are the causes and what are the consequences for our society? The Macroeconomics Research Center conducts research into the causes and consequences of financial instability, geo-economic developments, the development of income and wealth inequality and questions of political economy. In addition, it produces quarterly economic analyses for Germany, Europe and the global economy and is active in political consulting. It is characterized by the combination of theoretical findings, empirical evidence and institutional knowledge.
