My main research interests derive from the longstanding analysis of international macroeconomic developments in the context of short-term and medium-term forecasts. I am responsible for the international forecast and in this capacity cover a broad range of topics shaping the world economic outlook, including developments in world trade, monetary and fiscal policy trends, and global imbalances. European institutions and European macroeconomic policy coordination is a further main interest. I am also analyzing trends in the global commodity markets, especially oil, metals and grains markets.
