Medical decision making

When faced with a clinically asymptomatic root-canal treated tooth with signs of radiographic failure (like under- or over-extended root-fillings or persisting peri-apical lesions), clinicians need to decide between endodontically re-treating the tooth before restoration or not re-treating it now, but possibly later on. The present study compared the cost-effectiveness of both strategies.
