A lifetime extension of nuclear power plants in Germany is controversially discussed. The question is which lifetimes of nuclear power plants make the most sense in view of the long-term climate policy challenges from a macroeconomic perspective. The IfW environmental experts Gernot Klepper and Sonja Peterson respond to an expert opinion on this question for the BMWI.
