In Motion: Global Trade, Climate and the Kiel Institute
The annual review of 2019 from the Kiel Institute for the World Economy gives you an insight in our work of research, consulting, outreach and education. With a special focus on the topics of trade and climate, we provide you with insights into two of the key issues of 2019, and on the following pages we also present highlights of our diverse economic research and consulting activities. These include petty corruption, green innovations, the triad of biodiversity, land use and climate change, China's foreign loans and special economic zones - to name just a few.
Also the institute itself was in motion. We got a new president in 2019 and started a strategic refocus. Additionally we like to share many impressions of our events with you - from large conferences to smaller workshops.
