The author Jens Boysen-Hogrefe shows that Greece and the euro can still be saved. The design of the rescue and austerity program for Greece, however, is in need of improvement in several points. In order to give Greece a long-term counter-cyclical budgetary policy, an independent debt commission should also be set up.
