This lecture series is co-organized by the Centre for Modern East Asian Studies at the University of Göttingen and the Kiel Institute China Initiative.

This paper assesses the global implications of the PRC’s AI strategy. Examining recent regional and global transformations from the perspective of role theory, it looks at the re-steering of the Chinese (gig)economy under the fifth generation and outlines strategic role adjustments and position changes.
