Globally Connected

Partners & Networks

The Kiel Institute strives to be nationally and internationally visible and connected. All Research Centers are participating in national or international networks and collaborative projects. The Institute also encourages and financially supports staff members to visit other academic and think tank institutions both in order to upgrade skills and to establish joint research projects. Another facet of networking and cooperation is to host external researchers and experts at the Kiel Institute.

Cooperations

As an institute focusing on global economic affairs, the Kiel Institute collaborates nationally and internationally with a large number of universities and nonuniversity research centers, think tanks, foundations, and other institutions.

Another facet of networking and cooperation is to host at the Kiel Institute:

  • Our Kiel Institut Fellows are prominent economists who specialize in a wide range of issues related to global economic affairs and contribute their experience and expertise to joint projects and initiatives of our research centers.
  • As part of the Visiting Professorship Program outstanding scholars from Germany and abroad are given the opportunity, by invitation, to spend a flexible research period at the Institute. They collaborate closely with the research teams.
