Katja Pessl is coordinator at the Centre for Modern East Asian Studies at the University of Göttingen. She also joined the Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Göttingen as lecturer for Sinophone film in 2014. Her expertise in China studies, media, and film studies, acquired during her studies at Vienna University and the Beijing Film Academy, is complemented by 10+ years of experience in China-related research, teaching, and education programs.
