David Kläffling has been a member of the Research Center "International Finance" since January 2026 after joining the Kiel Institute as part of the first cohort of the Institute's doctoral program in international economics (ASP) in September 2024. His research interests are Geoeconomics and Political Economy. He holds a B.Sc. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Cologne and a M.Sc. in Economics from the Free University Berlin.
