Andrea Kristina Wunsch has been a research associate in the "Global Commons and Climate Policy" research group since August 2021.

She earned her Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Bonn and her Master's degree in Economics from Ruhr University Bochum. She subsequently completed her doctorate at the Institute for Environmental, Resource and Regional Economics at Kiel University as part of the doctoral program "Quantitative Economics". During this time, she worked on the project "GoCoase – Coastal Protection Strategies for Climate Change Adaptation: Institutional Governance and Societal Management."

Her research focuses on "stated preference methods" and the investigation of public perception and acceptance in the context of climate change adaptation and mitigation. At IfW, she initially worked on the project "SeaStore – Restoration of Seagrass Meadows as a Contribution to Marine Biodiversity Enhancement" and is currently engaged in the project "SeaO2-CDR – Strategies for the Evaluation and Assessment of Ocean-Based Carbon Dioxide Removal."
