Course Description

This course is part of the core Macroeconomics Sequence of the ASP Doctoral Program. This is well fitted for early career PhD students and professionals who want to refresh and update their core Macroeconomics understanding. The aim of the course is to provide an overview of the modern growth theory and labor market treatment from a theoretical perspective. We will introduce an overlapping generation model with capital. Then, we are going to study the Solow model and the endogenous growth model. Finally we are going to study the search-and-matching framework.

Timetable:

The course takes place every day from 9:30am-12:30pm. In the afternoon guided Exercises in group are offered as well as office hours to exchange on new ideas.

Federica Romei (Oxford)

Federica Romei is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Oxford and Lecturer at Hertford College since 2020. Prior to that, she was Assistant Professor at the Stockholm School of Economics. Her research focuses on monetary policy and international macroeconomics. She completed her Ph.D. at the Free University of Social Sciences in Rome.
