For a period of 50 years Rolf J. Langhammer has been a highly esteemed expert in our Institute, both professionally and personally. To mark this exceptional milestone and in his honor, the Institute organized this topical research & policy conference.

The conference covered topics which have impacted upon both Rolf J. Langhammer’s scholarly work and his policy advisory activities over his entire working life in Kiel. Speakers were some of Rolf’s important companions on his journey through the field of international and development economics, both from Germany and abroad.
