The project “Cost of degradation of the German marine environment” supports the implementation process of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) in Germany. The project will assess the willingness-to-pay of the German population for a good environmental status of the German marine environment. This information is needed for estimating the cost of degradation of the marine environment, which is needed in 2024 for the next reporting cycle.
