Challenges for Environmental Economics in a Disrupted World
This conference brings together researchers working on environmental economics, climate policy, natural resource management, and public goods. The presentations cover a wide range of topics, including carbon markets and emissions trading, renewable energy and the green transition, climate risk and adaptation, ecosystem resilience, resource management, pollution, and the provision of global public goods.
Several sessions focus on how individual behavior, social preferences, information, and political processes shape environmental outcomes, examining issues such as cooperation, technology investment, climate policy support, vaccination decisions, consumer choices, and population dynamics. Together, the contributions provide insights into the economic, social, and institutional challenges of addressing climate change and promoting sustainable development.
