Munich Security Conference 2024

Press Conference on the newest Ukraine Support Tracker release

Hotel Bayerischer Hof
Promenadepl. 2-6
80333 München

How has foreign aid to Ukraine evolved in recent months? Could Europe fill the gap, in case US Congress fails to pass another Ukraine support bill? And how does promised aid compare to actually allocated aid to be sent to Ukraine?

This press conference introduces the newest Ukraine Support Tracker release, which contains an important novelty. We now track government “allocations” of aid across donor governments, meaning that we collect the value of specific aid packages that are allocated or earmarked for delivery. Thus far, limited transparency required a focus on "commitments”, or the amount of aid promised. The "allocations" data now provide a much better picture of the aid that is actually arriving in Ukraine
