This book reports on the possible content, feasibility and economic implications of Ukraine and the EU undertaking a free trade agreement (FTA) to follow on from Ukraine’s accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO). The authors are a group of EU and Ukrainian economists, all of whom worked on the project in an independent capacity. The study was commissioned by the European Commission as a step in the EU–Ukraine Action Plan jointly agreed with the government of Ukraine in December 2004, in the framework of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP).
