Abstract
In this seminar, we will give an overview of—and discuss—IfW Kiel’s new “Rules to Ensure Good Scientific Practice”. These rules safeguard scientific integrity, which forms the basis for trustworthy science and is the social reciprocation for the constitutionally guaranteed freedom of science. We want to talk about, among others, the essence of good scientific practice, responsibilities, ownership of results and data, publication and documentation, authorship, and the criteria for assessing researchers’ scientific performance.
